The Department of IT & Communication (DOIT&C) is registered with UIDAI as the State Registrar for Aadhaar enrolment and is responsible for monitoring and controlling Aadhaar enrolment and update activities across the State of Rajasthan. DOIT&C is also functioning as an Authentication Service Agency (ASA) / KYC Service Agency (KSA) and as an Authentication User Agency (AUA) / KYC User Agency (KUA), providing a wide range of Aadhaar-based authentication and e-KYC services.

DOIT&C extends AUA/KUA services to various departments and organizations of the Government of Rajasthan. Currently, more than 15 lakh Aadhaar authentication transactions are processed on a daily basis. Major users of these services include e-PDS, Jan-Aadhaar, MAA Yojana, Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJED), among others.

In order to improve the success rate for biometric based Aadhaar Authentication, DoIT&C has launched a Generic Aadhaar Based Face Authentication mobile app (DoIT&C Face Authentication), which can be integrated with any application of the Sub-AUA departments to perform Aadhaar Based Face Authentication of the beneficiaries of schemes. Aadhaar Based Face Authentication provides better success rate than Fingerprint and Iris based authentication and it can be performed using the camera in the android mobile device only i.e. it is cost saving as well as more effective than other methods.
